Vedic Hindu is a property of Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited ("Vedic Hindu", "we", "us", "our" or "Company").

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vedic Hindu mobile application, website, digital content, products and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By downloading, accessing, registering, subscribing to or using Vedic Hindu, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. ABOUT VEDIC HINDU

Vedic Hindu is a digital spiritual, cultural, devotional and educational platform focused on Sanātana Dharma and Hindu traditions.

The Platform may provide:

  • Stories and life journeys of Sants and Rishis
  • Bhajans and devotional music
  • Aartis, Stotras and other devotional content
  • Podcasts and narrated audio
  • Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas and Bhagavad Gita content
  • Sanātana Dharma topics
  • Vedic wisdom
  • Hindu rituals and traditions
  • Festivals and sacred days
  • Temple Trails
  • Temple discovery and "Temple Near Me"
  • Community-driven temple information
  • User contributions
  • Points, badges and leaderboards
  • Rewards and merchandise
  • Priest and puja-related services
  • Temple-related services
  • Pilgrimage and temple-tour services
  • Devotional products and e-commerce
  • Notifications and reminders
  • Other services introduced from time to time.

Certain features may be introduced progressively and may not be available in all locations.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You may use Vedic Hindu only if you are legally permitted to enter into an agreement under applicable law.

If you are below the applicable age of consent for digital services or personal-data processing, you may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of your parent or lawful guardian where required by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Vedic Hindu complies with applicable laws.

3. REGISTRATION AND USER ACCOUNT

Certain features may require you to create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information;
  • Keep your account information updated;
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • Not share your account with unauthorised persons;
  • Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access; and
  • Use your account only for lawful purposes.

You are responsible for activities conducted through your account, except where such activity results from circumstances beyond your reasonable control.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. VEDIC HINDU CONTENT

Vedic Hindu may provide original and licensed content including:

  • Audio programmes;
  • Podcasts;
  • Narrations;
  • Stories;
  • Articles;
  • Educational material;
  • Devotional material;
  • Images;
  • Illustrations;
  • Videos;
  • Music;
  • Graphics; and
  • Other digital content.

Content is provided primarily for personal, spiritual, cultural and educational use.

Unless expressly permitted by Vedic Hindu, you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publicly perform, commercially exploit or republish Platform content.

5. RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL CONTENT

Hinduism and Sanātana Dharma encompass diverse traditions, philosophies, sampradayas, regional practices and interpretations.

Vedic Hindu may present content from particular traditional, historical, scholarly or devotional perspectives.

Such content should not necessarily be interpreted as representing the views of every Hindu tradition, community or school of philosophy.

Vedic Hindu aims to present content respectfully and does not intend to offend or disparage any deity, saint, rishi, tradition, community or individual.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS

Vedic Hindu may provide paid subscription plans.

Subscription plans, prices, benefits and duration will be displayed within the Platform or applicable payment platform at the time of purchase.

Vedic Hindu may offer plans such as:

  • Monthly;
  • Half-yearly;
  • Yearly; and
  • Other promotional plans.

Prices and promotional offers may change for future purchases.

The specific price and benefits applicable to your subscription will be those displayed at the time you subscribe.

7. FREE TRIAL

Vedic Hindu may offer promotional free trials.

Where a free trial is offered, the duration and applicable conditions will be displayed before subscription.

For example, Vedic Hindu may offer:

7 days free trial for the first time before subscription.

Vedic Hindu reserves the right to modify or discontinue promotional offers.

8. SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENT

Payments may be processed through:

  • Google Play;
  • Apple App Store;
  • UPI;
  • Payment gateways;
  • Banks; or
  • Other authorised payment providers.

The payment provider's terms may also apply.

Where automatic renewal is enabled, your subscription may renew automatically according to the applicable payment provider's rules.

You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before renewal if you do not wish to continue.

9. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Subscription cancellation and refund requests may be subject to the rules of the platform through which the subscription was purchased.

Where a subscription was purchased through Google Play or Apple App Store, cancellation may need to be completed through the relevant store.

Refunds will be provided only where:

  • Required by applicable law;
  • Required by the applicable payment platform; or
  • Expressly provided under the applicable Vedic Hindu offer or policy.

10. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

Vedic Hindu may allow users to submit:

  • Temple information;
  • Temple photographs;
  • Temple history;
  • Reviews;
  • Comments;
  • Suggestions;
  • Corrections;
  • Community information;
  • Other contributions.

You remain responsible for content you submit.

By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to submit it;
  • It does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights;
  • You have appropriate permission for photographs or personal information;
  • It is not deliberately fraudulent or misleading; and
  • It complies with these Terms and applicable law.

11. LICENCE TO USER CONTRIBUTIONS

When you submit content to Vedic Hindu, you grant Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, edit, publish, display and distribute the content for purposes connected with:

  • Operating Vedic Hindu;
  • Providing Platform services;
  • Displaying community contributions;
  • Improving the Platform;
  • Promoting Vedic Hindu; and
  • Developing related services.

You retain ownership of content that you lawfully own.

12. TEMPLE INFORMATION

Vedic Hindu may operate a community-driven temple discovery and information service.

Temple information may come from:

  • Devotees;
  • Community contributors;
  • Temple authorities;
  • Priests;
  • Public sources;
  • Vedic Hindu research; or
  • Other sources.

We may review and verify information, but we cannot guarantee that every listing will always be accurate or current.

Temple timings, contact details, festival schedules, addresses and other information may change.

Users should independently verify important information before travelling or relying on time-sensitive information.

13. TEMPLE NEAR ME

The "Temple Near Me" feature may use your location to identify temples near you.

Use of this feature may require location permissions.

You may disable location access through your device settings, but certain features may then become unavailable or less accurate.

14. TEMPLE VERIFICATION AND SEVAKS

Vedic Hindu may introduce temple verification systems involving:

  • Sevaks;
  • Temple representatives;
  • Priests;
  • Community representatives; and
  • Other authorised persons.

A verification status means that Vedic Hindu has completed its designated verification process.

Verification does not constitute a guarantee of:

  • Temple management;
  • Religious services;
  • Priest conduct;
  • Financial practices;
  • Safety;
  • Quality;
  • Availability; or
  • Every item of information associated with the temple.

Vedic Hindu may remove or suspend verification where information is found to be inaccurate or misleading.

15. PRIEST AND PUJA SERVICES

Vedic Hindu may introduce features allowing users to discover, contact or book priests or puja-related services.

Where services are provided by independent priests or third parties, those providers may be responsible for delivering the actual service.

Vedic Hindu may act as a technology platform or facilitator.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Vedic Hindu does not guarantee:

  • Religious outcomes;
  • Priest availability;
  • Quality of a religious service;
  • Conduct of an independent priest;
  • Timing of a puja;
  • Temple administration; or
  • Third-party service performance.

Additional terms may apply to specific services.

16. PILGRIMAGE AND TEMPLE TOURS

Vedic Hindu may introduce temple-tour, pilgrimage or travel-related services.

Such services may be provided directly by Vedic Hindu or by third-party partners.

Bookings may be subject to separate:

  • Booking terms;
  • Cancellation policies;
  • Travel conditions;
  • Accommodation terms;
  • Transportation conditions; and
  • Third-party service terms.

17. POINTS AND CONTRIBUTION REWARDS

Vedic Hindu may reward users for eligible activities.

Points may be awarded for activities such as:

  • Adding temple information;
  • Updating temple information;
  • Verifying information;
  • Community participation;
  • Completing designated activities;
  • Other qualifying activities.

The number of points awarded may vary.

Vedic Hindu may introduce:

  • Daily limits;
  • Verification requirements;
  • Point expiry;
  • Minimum redemption thresholds;
  • Contribution requirements;
  • Other programme rules.

Points have no cash value unless expressly stated.

Points may not be:

  • Sold;
  • Purchased;
  • Transferred;
  • Exchanged for cash; or
  • Used outside the Vedic Hindu rewards programme.

18. LEADERBOARDS AND BADGES

Vedic Hindu may provide:

  • Contribution leaderboards;
  • Achievement badges;
  • Contributor levels;
  • Recognition status;
  • Other community recognition.

Users must not manipulate these systems using:

  • Fake accounts;
  • Automated submissions;
  • Duplicate contributions;
  • False information;
  • Fraudulent activity; or
  • Other abusive methods.

Vedic Hindu may remove points, badges or rankings obtained through improper activity.

19. REWARDS

Eligible users may redeem points for rewards.

Rewards may include:

  • Vedic Hindu badges;
  • Caps;
  • T-shirts;
  • Flasks;
  • Travel bags;
  • Devotional products;
  • Other merchandise.

Rewards are subject to availability and applicable programme rules.

Vedic Hindu may change:

  • Available rewards;
  • Required points;
  • Redemption limits;
  • Eligibility requirements;
  • Reward quantities; and
  • Reward availability.

Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash unless expressly stated.

20. E-COMMERCE

Vedic Hindu may offer devotional and cultural products through the Platform.

Product prices, availability, shipping, returns, cancellations and refunds may be subject to separate terms displayed at the time of purchase.

Where products are supplied by third-party sellers, those sellers may be responsible for fulfilment and product-related obligations.

21. PROHIBITED USE

You must not use Vedic Hindu to:

  • Commit unlawful activities;
  • Impersonate another person;
  • Create fraudulent accounts;
  • Upload malware;
  • Attempt unauthorised access;
  • Circumvent security controls;
  • Scrape or systematically copy Platform content without permission;
  • Manipulate points or leaderboards;
  • Submit deliberately false temple information;
  • Harass, threaten or abuse others;
  • Promote violence or unlawful activity;
  • Upload unlawful or infringing content;
  • Misrepresent yourself as a priest, temple representative or Vedic Hindu employee;
  • Conduct fraudulent transactions;
  • Interfere with Platform operations; or
  • Use Vedic Hindu for any purpose prohibited by applicable law.

22. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Vedic Hindu, including its name, branding, logo, design, software, interface, original content, audio productions, podcasts, graphics and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited.

"Vedic Hindu" and associated branding may constitute trademarks or other intellectual property of Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited.

Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of Vedic Hindu intellectual property.

You may not use Vedic Hindu's name, logo or branding without prior written permission.

23. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Platform may contain or integrate third-party services.

These may include:

  • Payment services;
  • Maps;
  • Analytics;
  • Authentication;
  • Cloud services;
  • Advertising services;
  • Travel services;
  • Delivery services;
  • External websites.

Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy policies.

Vedic Hindu is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.

24. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

We aim to provide reliable access to Vedic Hindu but do not guarantee that the Platform will always be:

  • Available;
  • Uninterrupted;
  • Error-free;
  • Secure; or
  • Free from technical defects.

The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, technical problems, security incidents, network failures or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

25. CONTENT ACCURACY

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information.

However, we do not guarantee that all Platform content will always be:

  • Complete;
  • Accurate;
  • Current;
  • Error-free; or
  • Suitable for every user.

This applies particularly to community-generated information, temple timings, festival dates, travel information and third-party services.

26. SPIRITUAL AND EDUCATIONAL DISCLAIMER

Vedic Hindu provides spiritual, devotional, cultural and educational content.

The Platform does not provide:

  • Medical advice;
  • Legal advice;
  • Financial advice;
  • Professional travel advice; or
  • Other professional advice.

Users should consult appropriately qualified professionals where professional advice is required.

27. PRIVACY

Your use of Vedic Hindu is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store and protect personal information.

By using Vedic Hindu, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

28. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION

Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited may suspend, restrict or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that you:

  • Violate these Terms;
  • Engage in fraud;
  • Abuse the points or rewards programme;
  • Submit unlawful content;
  • Threaten Platform security;
  • Misuse the Platform;
  • Attempt to manipulate Platform systems; or
  • Create legal or security risks.

Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice before termination.

29. EFFECT OF TERMINATION

Upon termination or deletion of your account:

  • Access to account-based services may end;
  • Subscription benefits may cease subject to applicable payment rules;
  • Unused points may be forfeited;
  • Rewards may become unavailable;
  • Account-specific benefits may end.

Information that we are legally required to retain may continue to be retained according to our Privacy Policy.

30. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

31. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, contractors and service providers against claims, losses, liabilities and expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your unlawful use of the Platform;
  • Your user-generated content;
  • Your infringement of third-party rights; or
  • Your fraudulent or abusive activities.

32. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be published through the Platform.

Where material changes are made, we may provide appropriate notice where required.

Your continued use of Vedic Hindu after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.

33. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict any mandatory rights available to consumers or users under applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

35. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, accessing, registering for, subscribing to or using Vedic Hindu, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform.
