Subscription & Refund Policy

Vedic Hindu is a property of Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited ("Vedic Hindu", "we", "us", "our" or the "Company").

This Subscription & Refund Policy ("Policy") explains the terms applicable to subscriptions, free trials, promotional benefits, payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds for the Vedic Hindu Platform.

This Policy should be read together with the Vedic Hindu Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

By starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription or using subscription-based services, you agree to this Policy.

1. SUBSCRIPTION PLANS

Vedic Hindu may offer different subscription plans, which may include:

  • Monthly subscription;
  • Half-Yearly subscription;
  • Yearly subscription; and
  • Other subscription plans or promotional plans introduced from time to time.

The subscription price, currency, applicable taxes, billing period and applicable benefits will be displayed to you before you complete your purchase.

Vedic Hindu does not have a single worldwide subscription price.

Subscription prices may vary depending on:

  • Country or region;
  • Local currency;
  • Applicable taxes;
  • Google Play or Apple App Store pricing;
  • Payment provider;
  • Local market conditions;
  • Promotional offers; and
  • Other applicable commercial considerations.

The price displayed on the applicable purchase screen at the time you subscribe will apply to your purchase.

2. PREMIUM ACCESS

An active subscription may provide access to premium content and features available on Vedic Hindu.

Depending on the subscription and Platform version, premium services may include:

  • Devotional audio;
  • Bhajans and Aartis;
  • Podcasts;
  • Stories of Deities;
  • Stories and life journeys of Sants and Rishis;
  • Sanātana Dharma content;
  • Vedic wisdom;
  • Hindu rituals;
  • Festivals and sacred days;
  • Temple Trails;
  • Other premium audio, educational and devotional content; and
  • Other premium features introduced by Vedic Hindu.

The exact content and features included in a subscription may change from time to time.

3. FREE TRIAL

Vedic Hindu may offer a 15-day free trial to eligible users.

The availability of the free trial may depend on:

  • Country or region;
  • Subscription plan;
  • App store;
  • Payment platform;
  • Account history;
  • Previous trial usage;
  • Promotional eligibility; and
  • Other applicable conditions.

During the free-trial period, eligible users may access the premium benefits specified at the time of registration.

Where the subscription is configured to automatically convert into a paid subscription after the trial, the applicable subscription charge may be applied after the trial period ends unless the subscription is cancelled before the applicable renewal or billing date.

The exact trial terms displayed to you when you subscribe will apply.

4. HALF-YEARLY PROMOTIONAL BENEFIT

Vedic Hindu may offer a Half-Yearly subscription together with an additional 30 days of access at no additional subscription charge.

The applicable price, currency, billing period and total access period will be displayed before purchase.

The additional 30 days:

  • Are a promotional benefit;
  • Have no separate monetary or cash value;
  • Cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash;
  • Cannot ordinarily be transferred to another account; and
  • Are subject to the applicable subscription terms.

The availability of this promotion may vary by country, platform, subscription period or promotional campaign.

5. YEARLY PROMOTIONAL BENEFIT

Vedic Hindu may offer a Yearly subscription together with an additional 45 days of access at no additional subscription charge.

The applicable price, currency, billing period and total access period will be displayed before purchase.

The additional 45 days:

  • Are a promotional benefit;
  • Have no separate monetary or cash value;
  • Cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash;
  • Cannot ordinarily be transferred to another account; and
  • Are subject to the applicable subscription terms.

The availability of this promotion may vary by country, platform, subscription period or promotional campaign.

6. PRICING AND CURRENCY

Vedic Hindu operates as a global digital platform and may offer different prices in different countries and regions.

The subscription price may be displayed in the local currency supported by the applicable payment platform.

The final amount charged may include applicable:

  • Taxes;
  • Government levies;
  • Payment processing charges, where applicable; or
  • Other charges required by the relevant payment platform or applicable law.

The amount displayed at the time of purchase will be the applicable amount for that transaction, subject to any terms displayed during checkout.

7. PAYMENT PROCESSING

Subscription payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment platforms, including:

  • Google Play;
  • Apple App Store;
  • Payment gateways;
  • Banks;
  • UPI or equivalent payment systems;
  • Other authorised payment providers.

The applicable payment provider may process your payment information according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Vedic Hindu does not ordinarily store complete credit-card or debit-card credentials processed by third-party payment providers.

8. GOOGLE PLAY SUBSCRIPTIONS

Where you purchase a Vedic Hindu subscription through Google Play, Google Play may manage:

  • Payment processing;
  • Subscription activation;
  • Subscription renewal;
  • Billing;
  • Cancellation;
  • Certain refund requests; and
  • Other subscription-related functions.

Your subscription may also be subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

To manage or cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play, you should use the subscription management functionality provided by Google Play.

Uninstalling the Vedic Hindu application does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.

9. APPLE APP STORE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Where you purchase a Vedic Hindu subscription through the Apple App Store, Apple may manage:

  • Payment processing;
  • Subscription activation;
  • Subscription renewal;
  • Billing;
  • Cancellation;
  • Certain refund requests; and
  • Other subscription-related functions.

Your subscription may also be subject to Apple's applicable terms and policies.

To manage or cancel a subscription purchased through Apple, you should use Apple's subscription management functionality.

Uninstalling the Vedic Hindu application does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.

10. AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

Where automatic renewal is enabled, your subscription may automatically renew at the end of the applicable subscription period.

The applicable payment provider may charge your selected payment method according to its billing terms.

The renewal price may be different from the price originally paid if:

  • A promotional period has ended;
  • A promotional price has expired;
  • The applicable subscription price has changed; or
  • Other applicable pricing conditions have changed.

Where required, appropriate notice of material price changes will be provided.

11. CANCELLATION

You may cancel your subscription at any time, subject to the rules of the platform through which you purchased it.

Google Play

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play should generally be cancelled through your Google Play subscription settings.

Apple App Store

Subscriptions purchased through Apple should generally be cancelled through your Apple subscription settings.

Other payment methods

If Vedic Hindu provides direct subscription payments or other payment methods, cancellation instructions will be provided through the relevant Vedic Hindu account or payment interface.

Deleting the Vedic Hindu application does not automatically cancel your subscription.

You should verify that your subscription has been successfully cancelled.

12. EFFECT OF CANCELLATION

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or the relevant payment platform, cancellation generally prevents the subscription from automatically renewing for the next billing period.

Where applicable, you may continue to access subscription benefits until the end of the period for which you have already paid.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the unused portion of an already-paid subscription period, except where a refund is required by applicable law or otherwise provided under this Policy.

13. REFUND POLICY

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable, except where:

  • A refund is required by applicable law;
  • A refund is required under the rules of the relevant payment platform;
  • A payment was processed incorrectly;
  • A duplicate payment occurred due to a technical error;
  • Vedic Hindu expressly approves a refund; or
  • You have another legally enforceable right to a refund.

Refund eligibility may depend on the method through which the subscription was purchased.

14. GOOGLE PLAY REFUNDS

For subscriptions purchased through Google Play, refund requests may be governed by Google's applicable refund policies.

Where Google Play is the billing provider, Google may be responsible for determining and processing certain refund requests.

You may therefore be required to submit your refund request through Google Play's applicable refund process.

Vedic Hindu cannot guarantee approval of a refund by Google.

15. APPLE APP STORE REFUNDS

For subscriptions purchased through Apple, refund requests may be governed by Apple's applicable refund policies.

Where Apple is the billing provider, Apple may determine whether a refund is available.

You may therefore be required to submit your refund request through Apple's applicable refund process.

Vedic Hindu cannot guarantee approval of a refund by Apple.

16. DUPLICATE OR INCORRECT CHARGES

If you believe that you have been incorrectly charged, including where:

  • The same subscription was charged more than once;
  • An incorrect amount was charged;
  • A payment was made after a confirmed cancellation; or
  • A technical error resulted in an incorrect charge,

please contact Vedic Hindu support as soon as reasonably possible.

We may investigate the transaction and, where appropriate, coordinate with the relevant payment provider.

17. FAILED PAYMENTS

If a subscription renewal payment fails, the relevant payment provider may attempt to process the payment again.

Depending on the payment provider and applicable terms:

  • Premium access may be temporarily restricted;
  • The subscription may enter a grace period;
  • Payment may be retried; or
  • The subscription may be cancelled.

Vedic Hindu is not responsible for payment failures caused by a user's bank, payment provider, insufficient funds, expired payment method or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

18. TAXES AND GOVERNMENT CHARGES

Applicable taxes, duties, levies or other government charges may apply to subscriptions depending on the user's country or region.

The applicable payment platform may calculate and collect such amounts where required.

19. PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

Vedic Hindu may provide promotional offers from time to time.

These may include:

  • Free trials;
  • Additional free subscription days;
  • Discounted subscription prices;
  • Promotional pricing;
  • Referral benefits;
  • Limited-time offers; and
  • Other promotional benefits.

Promotional offers may vary by:

  • Country;
  • Region;
  • Platform;
  • Account;
  • Subscription plan;
  • Promotional period; or
  • Eligibility criteria.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional benefits:

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Cannot be transferred;
  • Cannot be combined with another promotion;
  • May be subject to eligibility restrictions; and
  • May be withdrawn or modified by Vedic Hindu.

20. TRIAL AND PROMOTIONAL ABUSE

Vedic Hindu may restrict or withdraw promotional eligibility where it reasonably believes that a user has attempted to abuse or circumvent promotional terms.

Examples may include:

  • Creating multiple accounts to obtain repeated trials;
  • Using multiple payment methods to obtain repeated promotional benefits;
  • Providing false information;
  • Manipulating referral systems; or
  • Other fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

Any action taken under this section will remain subject to applicable law.

21. SUBSCRIPTION PRICE CHANGES

Vedic Hindu may change subscription prices from time to time.

Prices may differ between countries, regions, currencies and payment platforms.

For existing recurring subscriptions, any applicable price change will be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the relevant payment platform and applicable law.

Where user confirmation is required for a price change, the subscription may not renew unless the required confirmation is provided.

22. CHANGES TO PREMIUM CONTENT AND FEATURES

Vedic Hindu continuously develops its Platform.

We may:

  • Add new content;
  • Remove content;
  • Replace content;
  • Modify features;
  • Introduce new subscription benefits;
  • Discontinue particular features; or
  • Change how premium content is organised.

We aim to maintain a valuable premium experience but do not guarantee that any particular item of content or feature will remain available permanently.

Where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy because a paid service has been permanently discontinued, Vedic Hindu will provide the applicable remedy.

23. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

Vedic Hindu may suspend or terminate an account where permitted by applicable law if the user:

  • Violates the Terms and Conditions;
  • Engages in fraud;
  • Abuses subscription promotions;
  • Manipulates Platform systems;
  • Misuses the rewards programme;
  • Engages in unlawful activity; or
  • Creates a significant security or operational risk.

Any refund following account termination will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the case.

24. SUBSCRIPTION TRANSFER

Unless expressly permitted by Vedic Hindu or the applicable payment platform:

  • Subscriptions cannot be sold;
  • Subscriptions cannot be transferred;
  • Subscription benefits cannot be assigned to another person; and
  • Subscription access cannot be commercially resold.

25. DEVICE AND PLATFORM CHANGES

Your subscription may be associated with the account used to purchase it and may be subject to the rules of the relevant app store or payment platform.

If you change devices, reinstall the application or change platforms, subscription restoration may depend on:

  • Your Vedic Hindu account;
  • Your Google account;
  • Your Apple account;
  • The applicable payment platform; and
  • The technical functionality available at that time.

When contacting us about a transaction, please provide relevant information such as:

  • Registered email address or mobile number;
  • Subscription plan;
  • Transaction or order ID;

Do not provide your password, PIN, OTP, CVV or complete card number to Vedic Hindu support.

27. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Vedic InfoTech and Media Private Limited may update this Subscription & Refund Policy from time to time.

The updated Policy will be published on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice regarding material changes.

28. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable consumer-protection, data-protection and other mandatory laws applicable to the user.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

29. ACCEPTANCE

By starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription or using subscription-based services offered by Vedic Hindu, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted this Subscription & Refund Policy.
